Staying Local

Staying Local is what the 2017-2018 executive board decided would be the "theme" for the year. Our focus is to help the local community to foster better relations with those around us. It is also a great way to create awareness of our club and CKI as a whole. Please consider signing up for some of our local events!

In addition, Caitlin Krause will be heading our "Large-Scale Service Project." This service project will take place at the end of October and will go for 24 hours. Participants can sign up for 3-hour-shifts ranging from coloring a smile to walking for Charity Miles to baking cookies for the local Police and Fire departments! Please consider joining this committee as we make the shift to "local."

Governor's Project

Each year, the elected Wisconsin-Upper Michigan (WUM) Governor announces their project they want their district to focus on throughout the year. This year's Governor, Brandon Byal, has announced that he wants clubs to focus on "recruitment and retention." This includes chartering additional clubs within our district as well as encouraging each club to recruit atleast three new members.

Platteville strives to do much more. We are seeking to recruit a total of 50 new members during the 2017-2018 year, 8 more than we had at the end of last year. Please help us by volunteering at Recruitment tables and participating in the Student Organization Fair!
