David Kelm - President

My name is David Kelm and I am a senior pursuing a degree in Engineering Physics and Mathematics. In my hometown of Mineral Point I was very involved in my high school Key Club. This naturally made me want to join Circle K in college. My favorite part of Circle K is the connections that we make with the people that we impact and the other clubs in our district. My favorite tree is a weeping willow. I can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 30 seconds. My favorite quote is "Get busy living or get busy dying."

Brooke Steeno - Vice President

My name is Brooke Steeno, and I am a sophomore studying chemistry with an emphasis in criminalistics as well as another major in forensic investigation. I am from Pulaski, Wisconsin, which is a half hour north of Green Bay. Before going to this university, I had no idea what Circle K was; I joined this organization because a friend (Sarah Haskell) brought me with her to a weekly meeting. Since joining Circle K International, my favorite act of service was volunteering at the food kitchen in St. Luke’s church in Dubuque, Iowa. In general, I like succulents but tend to kill any plant I own. My favorite quote is, “Make today a great day,” which is what my mom told me frequently as a child; you have the choice to have a good day or a bad one. If you’ve made it to the end of my bio, then you deserve to know that I can make a four-leaf clover with my tongue.

Luke Nuemann - Secretary

Hello! My name is Luke Neumann, and I am sophomore at UW-Platteville studying Civil Engineering. Originally I am from Waukesha Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. I joined Circle- K because someone brought me to a meeting, and I have stayed in Circle-K because I love all the people and the club itself. As someone who likes getting their hands dirty, my favorite events have been Food for Soul, or the volunteer work done at Camp Wawbeek. My favorite tree is the banyan tree because I think they look really cool. Something that only my friends would know about me is that I have extreme hitchhiker thumbs. "A flute with no holes is not a flute. But a donut with no hole is a danish."

Gavin Lloyd- Treasurer

Hey Everyone! My name is Gavin Lloyd and I am serving as the club treasurer for this upcoming year. I am a sophomore studying Software Engineering from Wausau, Wisconsin. I joined Circle K because I was in Key Club in high school, and once I figured out that Circle K existed, I joined right away. I stay around because of the great people that are in our club as well as the amazing people we get to help out and serve through our events and projects. As a true D. C. Everest Graduate, my favorite tree is an Evergreen tree, because they don’t give up or take breaks for the winter. They stand strong and stay alive throughout the harsh times. I am an excellent speller, and won the 6th and 7th grade spelling bee when I was in 6th grade. I am very excited to serve as treasurer, and I can’t wait to see all the cool stuff we’re going to do this upcoming year!

Hi everyone! My name is Mallory Buetow and I’m currently a junior majoring in Environmental Horticulture with a Business Administration minor. I decided to join Circle K because I love to volunteer, and I wanted to get more involved in the community. Gardening, watching The Vampire Diaries, and visiting my cat at home are just a few of the things I enjoy!

Bev Johansen - Kiwanis Advisor

Bev is a member of the Platteville Kiwanis Club where she serves as both the Treasurer and Secratary. Originally from Montana, Bev got her law degree at UW Madison and now lives in Platteville - a city where very few people don't know who she is. Bev spends most of her time volunteering around Platteville and always has a smile on her face. Sit next to her at the next meeting and you'll find out why everyone loves her as much as we do.
